Supporting You, Building Resilience Together

Bringing Mental Health Care to Where It Matters Most—Our Schools

Mental health is one of the most pressing issues facing youth in the United States today. 1 in 5 youth (ages 3–17) experience a mental health disorder—but only 1 in 3 receive the treatment they need. Among adolescents (ages 12–17), 20% report having unmet mental health care needs.

The barriers are clear:

  • Mental health clinics are often located in urban centers, far from rural or underserved communities.
  • Transportation to these clinics can require lengthy travel, often pulling students away from school for hours at a time—disrupting learning and creating additional stress.
  • Long waitlists, high costs, and limited access make it even harder for families to get help.
  • Poverty significantly increases the risk of mental illness—yet those affected often face the greatest barriers to care.

Our Mission: Mental Health Access Where Youth Need It Most

We believe every child deserves access to mental health support—no matter their zip code or financial status. That’s why our program supports bringing mental health services directly into schools through a comprehensive wraparound therapy model.

With our school-based wraparound program, we:
Eliminate transportation and cost barriers, keeping students in school and learning
Ensure access to care is no longer a barrier—every student has a path to support
Equip teachers and staff with tools to identify and support students’ mental and emotional well-being
Normalize mental health care as part of everyday school life
Provide early intervention, reducing the long-term impact of untreated mental health issues

Meet Courtney Hinnenkamp, Founder of Resilient Minds Therapeutic Services

With 8 years of experience as an in-house Mental Health Therapist within a public school district, I am deeply committed to supporting student well-being and strengthening mental health systems in educational settings.

During my time in the field, I played a key role in developing and implementing a comprehensive, an in-house mental health therapy program, tailored to meet the diverse needs of students, staff, and families. I have also served on multiple district-wide committees, contributing to the advancement of mental health initiatives that promote early intervention, accessibility, and a holistic wrap-around model of care.

My work has extended far beyond supporting one district. I have supported multiple school systems to help establish and expand in-house mental health therapy programs. This includes consulting with administrators, supporting newly hired therapists, and designing systems that are ethical, sustainable, and student-centered.
